Regional Geology : The Mwadui project area is located within the northern part of the Shinyanga/Mwadui greenstone belt and accompanying kimberlite province. The belt consists of scattered lenses of greenstones, which collectively form an elliptical shape, whose long-axis trends ENE-WSW. The core of the belt consists of younger granites, and kimberlite pipes occur both within the greenstone and the granite. Near Mwadui town, which is centrally located within the Mwadui project area, the world famous Williamson diamond mine can be found, and has the distinction of being the largest economic, diamondiferous, kimberlite ever found. Towards the SE of the project area, the area is mostly covered by mbuga associated with Lake Nyanza. Principal Structures : A detailed structural analysis of the entire project area is pending, to be based on a detailed interpretation of airborne geophysical data, and field mapping. Geology of the Prospecting Areas : A detailed geological mapping program of all the licenses has yet to be undertaken. Current geological understanding is therefore based on the published geological map of the Lake Victoria Gold Fields (Barth). The office of the Geological Survey in Dodoma has made available the locality of all known kimberlite pipes in Tanzania. This has formed the basis for land selection to date, and the company presently has 9 known kimberlites on their PLs. Exploration Completed: Follow-up ground magnetic survey (August 2004), confirmed the existence of 2 kimberlite pipes which were discovered by early workers. A soil sampling program was undertaken over the 2 pipes for multi-element ICP-MS analysis.5kg bulk samples f the two pipes were collected and submitted to SGS (Vancouver) for diamond analysis. Results were negative. One PL had 5 recorded diamondiferous kimberlite pipes. None of the original data is readily available on file regarding the results from these pipes. A ground magnetic survey has been completed on the licence, confirming the presence of 7 magnetic anomalies that coincide with previous work. These anomalies were RAB drilled in November 2005 and 7 kimberlites were identified. Probe results from heavy mineral samples from the drill cuttings confirmed that 6 of the pipes contain positive diamond indicator minerals. Geophysics: The area has been covered by an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey (West German 1987 program). A ground magnetic survey conducted by the company in 2005 has identified 7 magnetic anomalies all within a 2kmē zone.
